Lu is a type of singing that has been done by Tibet’s nomadic herdsmen for centuries. This track was improvised by Dorjee. There are only two lyric lines, repeated over and over. The first phrase is a greeting, wishing you well, like “namasté” or the Tibetan “tashi delek.” The 2nd is a prayer that you may have a life that is filled with health, wealth and happiness. As you listen, try to accept that wish for yourself, then send it out to the world.
