about
A beloved tune from the Nyari region of western Tibet. It is written from the perspective of a person looking at the mountain (Ri) and contemplating it’s three levels. At the top, one can live in peace with only the snow and silent, rocky earth... Until a storm whips up. At the middle level, birds live happily in the forest... Until an owl or eagle disturbs their peaceful singing. And at the bottom, the fish live happily in the clear lake. If only the fisher would not come with line and hook... With this in mind, try to be gentle.
